Ground Survey

Election Ground Survey & Constituency Research in Punjab

A good campaign starts by listening. Our field teams run ground surveys across Punjab constituencies to understand local issues, how well a candidate’s work is known and which channels people trust, so the campaign speaks to real concerns.

What a ground survey covers

  • Local issues by area: roads, water, jobs, health, education, agriculture and more.
  • Awareness of the candidate, the work done and the party’s message.
  • The media and channels people use and trust.
  • Area-wise issue mapping to plan field visits and content.
  • Feedback on campaign material before it is launched widely.

How we conduct surveys

  • Trained field teams with a structured questionnaire.
  • Sampling planned across areas and communities, so the picture is not one-sided.
  • Participation is voluntary and responses are kept confidential.
  • Data is stored securely, is used only for the agreed purpose and is never sold or shared.

How the results are used

Survey findings shape the message, the content plan, outreach priorities and field visits. They are inputs for planning, not predictions, and no survey can say who will win an election.

Legal limits we respect

  • Our surveys are for internal campaign planning. We do not publish predictions.
  • Results of opinion polls cannot be displayed in the 48 hours before polling ends (Section 126, Representation of the People Act, 1951).
  • Exit polls are banned during the period set under Section 126A.
  • Personal data is collected with consent and handled under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

Election rules and Election Commission instructions change from election to election. This page is general information, not legal advice. Please check the latest instructions for your specific election at eci.gov.in or with your Returning Officer.

Can survey results be published on social media?

Not during the 48-hour silence period, and we advise against publishing them as predictions at any time. See our ECI compliance guide.
